Authorities said the suspect is an ex-employee who recently sent threatening text messages to a supervisor.
PALO ALTO – Authorities on Tuesday arrested a 32-year-old San Jose man in connection with a drive-by shooting at a Stanford Shopping Center restaurant where he used to work.
Police said the man had recently sent threatening text messages to his former supervisor at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse at the shopping center “as a result of an interpersonal conflict.” The supervisor was at the restaurant at the time of the shooting. Officers found two bullet casings from a handgun on the east side of the 100 block of El Camino Real, police said. A witness also reported seeing someone extend a handgun out of the driver’s window of a black Chevrolet Camaro traveling northbound.
