GILBERT, AZ — Gilbert police have taken a man into custody after they say he shot and killed his stepfather on Christmas Day.
At about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Gilbert police officers were called to a residence near Recker and Warner roads for reports of a shooting. Gilbert police say an 80-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.Authorities allege that the man shot his stepfather after returning from a family dinner.
