Carl Sandburg High School Model United Nations Club recently hosted 650 delegates from 41 schools across the state at its 14th annual conference, CSMUN XIV. Student staff consisted of six secretariat members, 32 chairs, 45 dias, two crisis staffers, and three photographers. It also featured the club’s sponsor Adam Osmanski, and an array of parent volunteers, many who have been working on planning the conference since May.

Promise Club awarded $500 to support its continuing efforts to create a socially inclusive school and prevent school violence. The funding came from the Sandy Hook Promise stands for Students Against Violence Everywhere and is part of the nonprofit Sandy Hook Promise’s Know the Signs programs.
