Army Sergeant Christopher Carre will receive a new 2024 Hyundai Tucson

Deployed overseas and having to talk on a video call, 24-year-old Army medic Christopher Carre reacted with stunned disbelief as he found out he had just won a new car. “No way, No Way, that’s awesome! You’re not playing with me right now?” exclaimed Carre, as we revealed that he was indeed the Hyundai Hometown Hero es winner for the active military category.

Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Christopher joined the Army to achieve his goals in life while serving his country. He was nominated for this award by multiple members of his family. In her nomination letter, his mother Erin describes Christopher as someone who has overcome numerous personal challenges to become the soldier he is today. Christopher is also described as always putting others before himself, demonstrating exceptional bravery on and off the battlefield.

Christopher will receive his new Hyundai Tucson when he returns from his current deployment. When asked where was the first place he would drive his new car? He replied, “home to visit my family.”
