Returned from his deployment overseas Sergeant Christopher Carre was finally able to pick up his new Car.
In a moving ceremony, and surrounded by his family, Sergeant Carre received the keys to his new Tucson from Hyundai of St. Augustine. Sergeant Carre spoke about the relationship with his family, so it was fitting that they were on hand to celebrate with him as he received his new car. Especially since he says he will be giving his old car to them.
“Family is everything to me” Said Carre “Being able to get this car and give them my vehicle so they can get around and do the things they need to do, it’s really heartwarming to me” Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Christopher joined the Army to achieve his goals in life while serving his country. He was nominated for this award by multiple members of his family. In her nomination letter, his mother Erin describes Christopher as someone who has overcome numerous personal challenges to become the soldier he is today. Christopher is also described as always putting others before himself, demonstrating exceptional bravery on and off the battlefield.
