Mohammad Ab Rahman says it will not only enhance the army’s capabilities, but also help the government save funds.
The life extension programme for the army’s mechanised infantry fighting vehicles can prolong their lifespan by at least 15 years.
“I see this as being highly beneficial for us because we are aware of the government’s budget constraints. By utilising this approach, we can help the government minimise expenses while enhancing our capabilities,” he said. The MoU is focused on identifying opportunities and assessing the feasibility of collaboration in Malaysia to extend the life of MIFVs.
