Armie Hammer will return to the big screen with a new vigilante-themed film titled 'The Dark Knight'. The movie, directed by Uwe Boll, features Hammer as Sanders, a crime fighter who gains popularity on social media.

Armie Hammer will star in a new movie titled The Dark Knight about a crime-fighting vigilante, but it's not related to Batman. The award-winning actor has faced controversy in recent years, being accused of sexual misconduct in 2021, leading to an LAPD investigation. In 2023, prosecutors decided not to charge him.

Since then, Hammer's acting career has been quiet, with his next film set to be Frontier Crucible, a Western directed by Travis Mills based on Harry Whittington's 1961 novel Desert Stake-Out. Variety has confirmed Hammer's next project, where he will star in The Dark Knight from director Uwe Boll (BloodRayne, First Shift). He will portray a vigilante named Sanders, whose fight against criminals makes him popular on social media. This marks his second role after sexual misconduct allegations and his first leading role in a film since 2021's Crisis. Filming begins on January 27 in Croatia. Hammer's most well-known works include The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Nocturnal Animals, and Call Me by Your Name with Timothée Chalamet. While he's been recognized for these films with awards and nominations, the assault allegations made 2022's Death on the Nile his last film until his recent projects. With The Dark Knight, it seems he's taking on roles similar to those he held during his prime
