Deputies and SWAT have shut down a neighborhood in Yelm, Thurston County, due to an armed standoff with a domestic violence suspect who is barricaded inside a home. Authorities believe the suspect is armed with an AR15 and crisis negotiators are on scene attempting to contact the individual.

Deputies and SWAT have shut down a Thurston County neighborhood due to an armed standoff .According to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office, a domestic violence suspect has barricaded themselves in a home in Yelm . Yelm police report the activity is occurring near 99th Ave SE and Terra Glenn St SE.Authorities believe the suspect is armed with an AR15.The Thurston County SWAT Team is on-scene with deputies, and have cordoned off the neighborhood block.
