A bizarre night unfolded for employees at a Philadelphia-area McDonald’s after a man robbed the fast-food restaurant through its drive-thru window and demanded cash from the register Friday night, according to reports.
The incident took place at 11:15 p.m. at the McDonald’s located on the 700 block of Adams Avenue in Philadelphia’s Lawncrest neighborhood. Employees were working in the restaurant while an employee worked the drive-thru window when an unknown man climbed through the drive-thru window armed with a handgun. He demanded money from the register while brandishing the weapon.
The employee complied and the armed assailant took the entire register, which contained between $100 and $150 and then escaped through the window.The theft comes after another attempted robbery that occurred at a Wendy’s located along Adams Avenue in the same neighborhood days ago, where an attempted robber tried to force his way into the drive-thru window with a metal object in his hand, but employees managed to push him out,12-year-old boy, grandfather killed in Pa.
