An allegedly armed man was fatally shot by Los Angeles police in Pacoima on Tuesday night, June 12, with a suspect still at large, authorities said.
Officers were conducting a traffic stop on a black BMW sedan near Carl Street and Carl Place around 8:50 p.m., according to the LAPD, near Whiteman Airport and several blocks from the Hansen Dam. The front passenger, a 20-year-old man, got out of the BMW and led officers on a chase through a nearby housing complex, police said. At some point, police opened fire on Alexander Larios, who was fatally struck, authorities said.
