After a 72-61 loss to Cal, the Sun Devils appear ever closer to becoming just the second team in Pac-12 history to go winless in conference play.
A miserable run that stretched across two quarters on Friday night was enough to lead to another loss for the Arizona State women’s basketball team. It might be enough to lead the program to its worst Pac-12 season.
Of the games the Sun Devils had remaining on their schedule entering the weekend, Cal appeared to represent their best chance to come away with a win. “I think for us it’s still about growing and who we are,” Arizona State coach Natasha Adair said. “We’ll prepare for our opponent, but we have to put together 40 minutes.”
