PHILADELPHIA — The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series.
Philadelphia is starting righty Aaron Nola. He has been dominant this postseason, 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA. Nola won his only start against the D-backs in the regular season, going 6 2.3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 9 strikeouts. D-backs starter Merrill Kelly is calling this the “biggest of his career.” He’s 1-0 this postseason and hasn’t allowed a run. Kelly was near perfect in their 11-2 win over the Dodgers in Game 2 of the NLDS.
