ArianaGrande tells Allure the inspiration behind Chapter 2: Goodnight N Go. 🌙 rembeauty
The ovular six-shade eye shadow palettes from the brand's first collection have returned, this time with those calming, dreamy hues Grande mentioned earlier. Chapter 2's selection of Midnight Shadows palettes includes Gogo Boots , Smitten Kitten , and Groovy Baby .
Whereas the goal for the first round of eye shadow palettes was to provide customers a range of neutral staples and "introduce the world to the brand just in general," Grande wanted to offer some color with these puppies. "Now we kind of get to expand that color story and dip a toe in these really cool statement colors, like this amazing lavender and this amazing mint color that we have," she explains.
Much like those of the first collection, these eye shadow palettes include both matte and metallic shades. The mattes are very softly pressed, which means they have a quite intense color payoff. If you're looking for a subtle wash of color with these, tread lightly with your brushes. Otherwise, dip a finger in and go buck wild — either way, you'll find them easy to blend out if you don't let them sit for too long before you do so.
Pictured above are the shades Affirmation, a rose-tinted lavender, and Quality Time, a vermillion with pink glitter.
