It all started after a fan named Shannon apparently tweeted a rumor she'd heard about Ocean threatening to sue Grande because she used a cover of his song "Close to You" as the interlude for herThe pop star caught wind of the tweet and wanted to set the record straight, replying, "I didn’t. We changed the interlude bc I prefer 'Adore.
Apparently, it Grande's response that sparked the "over" hashtag after people called her out for being "rude" to a fan. However, after Shannon tweeted that Grande "hates" her, the 26-year-old singer replied, "Naw I love u. Just exhausting seeing people talk. Love u to the moon n back.’ The fan later tweeted out a lengthy statement, defending Grande and apologizing for fueling the rumors in the first place. Personally, I think she had a right to say what she said and honestly, I would be pissed off too if stupid ass rumors were started about me every single day. She snapped and I had it coming," she wrote.
‘We’ll never know who started the rumor about the lawsuit between Ariana and Frank Ocean, but it doesn’t matter because the people on my timeline that I saw tweeting about it and me for participating in it are all at fault.
