Two men are in the hospital Wednesday after an argument led to gunfire at a Woodstock apartment complex, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Around 3:27 p.m., Jacksonville police responded to a shooting on Sophia Street. JSO said several people were arguing. It’s unclear what the argument was over.Two men were shot multiple times -- one in the chest, stomach, and arm and the other in both arms. Police have one person detained but they are unsure of that individual’s involvement in the shooting.
No suspect information is available at this time, but detectives are speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage that shows the argument. Both men were taken to the hospital. One is in critical condition, and the other is stable, according to JSO.“There was one young man who was running and yelling at the same time. There were three that were following him. There was one with a gun and he fired that thing off,” Lynskey said.“It seems like every day or every two days, police are here. Somebody running from the cops or guns pulled on them or something,” Lynskey said. “It’s a shame. I feel like the senior in the bunch.
