Strong thunderstorms are moving into the Tucson metro area from the south. These t-storms are capable of producing damaging outflow wind, heavy rain, localized flooding & frequent lightning.
A Flood Advisory has been issued for the southwest side of Tucson including Tucson Estates, Drexel Heights, Valencia West & Ryan Airfield. Strong thunderstorms have brought up to 1" of rain to the area and some flooding is occurring. If you're on the roads please remember to slow down while driving through rain.We will likely see more showers and storms today, but after being worked over yesterday, timing will be tough to determine.
