The boys were runners-up in 1978, 1980, 1981 and 1985.District 26-6A champion Brandeis girls are 15-0 and were one of two teams to defeat Alamo Heights. The Broncos play New Braunfels Canyon at 5:15 p.m. Monday at Alamo Heights Natatorium. They defeated Canyon 13-2 earlier this season.
The Chargers boys won the District 26-6A championship by going 8-0 in league and 10-0 overall with a mixture of experience and newcomers. The Chargers’ girls made the postseason despite starting with players with little to no experience. Champion went 2-6 in district and 3-7 overall. There is just one classification — Class 6A — for schools of all enrollment levels. There are 32 districts with eight divided into four regions.
