Lancashire snow guide by area with five inches expected in some parts
Lancashire is set to be hit by snow over the next two days, with the whole county being covered by a Met Office weather warning. Up to five inches of the white stuff is now expected.
The Met Office says power cuts are possible as are delays on the road and cancellation to rail services. The warning area excludes parts of Blackpool, Thornton and Fleetwood along the coast but those areas can still expect temperatures as low as 1C. Preston The map has forecasted that Preston will be hit less severely, with just up to 5cm expected by 9am tomorrow morning.
