While Aquaman was once considered the butt of most jokes for superheroes in general, the DC Comics character has been reinvented into something cooler over time. The cosplay shows why Aquaman should be taken seriously as a hero, as @armoredheartcosplay strikes a powerful pose in gold armor and trident.
It's easy to see why Aquaman was often on the receiving end of jokes from both comic book fans and other DC Comics heroes. After all, his powers include being able to talk to fish - which became even more of a running joke during the character's appearances in his own late '60s self-titled animated series and in Super Friends, where he was best known for riding a seahorse.
