IPOH: Graduates can start applying now for teaching positions available under the recruitment programme for those in the DG41 grade, says the Education Ministry.
Deputy Education Minister Lim Hui Ying said those who were interested could apply, especially for the four critical subjects, namely Design and Technology, Malay Language, English Language and Islamic Education.
Application for the programme through the Education Service Commission was opened from yesterday, Bernama reported. “Whether they are in the education or non-education field, they may still apply if they are interested to become a teacher or a contract teacher. “They may submit their application via the website and we hope this recruitment will help overcome the problem of the teacher shortage in the country, especially in those subjects,” she said after officiating at an education exhibition at SMJK Yuk Choy here.
