“Where’s Wanda?” tells the story of a couple desperate to find their missing daughter. After months of waiting for the police to track her down, Dedo and Carlotta Klatt finally take matters into their own hands.
With the help of their tech-savvy son Ole, the family bug their local neighbourhood – which is when they begin to realize that their neighbors are hiding more than they realized. Produced by Fremantle-owned UFA Fiction, the drama stars Heike Makatsch as Carlotta and Axel Stein as Dedo. Lea Drinda stars as 17-year-old Wanda while newcomer Leo Simon plays Ole. Rounding out the cast are Palina Rojinski , Nikeata Thompson , Devid Striesow , Joachim Król , Jasmin Shakeri and Kostja Ullmann . The series is directed by “Love, Rosie” helmer Christian Ditter and Tobi Baumann and was written by Oliver Lansley . It is based on a story by Zoltan Spirandelli .“Where’s Wanda?” joins an international line-up from Apple TV+, who have commissioned shows in Ireland , U.K. and France , as well as French-Japanese series “Drops of God,” among others. Earlier this year, the streamer signed a landmark deal with French network Canal’s local streaming platform Canal+, making Apple’s content available at no extra cost to Canal+ subscribers.
