Apple could be about to release another iPad and a new rumor claims it will be an iPad Air, but bigger than the current model. A new report fromsays that an iPad Air with the biggest screen ever seen on any iPad apart from the iPad Pro is on its way.DigiTimes says it has industry sources who have predicted that the new Air would have a 12.9-inch display.
There will be differences, of course, if such an iPad Air does appear. For instance, it seems the miniLED backlighting which is on the larger Pro will be absent from a big-screen Air, instead relying on the same LCD screen technology found on the smaller Air.When could such an iPad Air arrive? There are a lot of clashing rumors around. Analyst Mng-Chi Kuo says there won’t be an iPad update this year .
Could there be an additional super-sized Air alongside? We’ll know soon enough—to reach customers by mid-November, Apple needs to reveal any new products soon., has weighed in on the 2023 iPad update question. Basically, he says there isn’t one. While I still find this very hard to believe, given there’s never been a calendar year without an update since the first iPad was launched, there is a certain sense to it.
