.Apple introduced a new desktop designed for creators and a powerful high-speed chip Tuesday.
The Mac Studio is a compact desktop that runs on the M1 Ultra processor, Apple's most powerful chip yet. It can also run on the M1 Max.With the M1 Max, the Mac Studio is 50% faster than the Mac Pro and boasts significantly better graphics. The newer M1 Ultra chip is 60% faster than the Mac Pro, even with a 28-core Xeon processor, and has 80% better graphics.
Apple's Mini is still its smallest desktop, but the Mac Studio comes in at 7.7 inches and a height of 3.7 inches. At its minimum, without any bells and whistles, the display costs $1,999. Including a memory of 128 GB, storage of 8 TB, and the M1 Ultra, it comes out to $7,999. Educators and schools are eligible for a $200 discount.The"media engine" resembles Apple’s Power Mac G4 Cube from 2000, which was a financial failure.
