Apple has launched its immersive Look Around feature on its web-based Maps platform. Initially available in select cities in the US, Japan, and several European Union countries, Look Around allows users to virtually explore locations through 360-degree images. Users can access the feature by clicking on the binocular icon at the bottom left corner of the map. This feature was previously limited to the Apple Maps mobile app.
While the web-based Maps platform launched in beta in July with some limitations, including restricted device and browser access, Apple promised to add more features in the coming months. Although Look Around's coverage is currently limited, previous findings in Apple Maps suggest the company is working to expand its availability. Apple reportedly plans to add smaller cities, rural areas, and more countries, such as Egypt, China, and Mexico, to the Look Around network
