An air ambulance was called to take a 62-year-old woman to hospital in Glasgow
Police have launched an appeal after a horror crash on a major Ayrshire road left two people in hospital.
The incident, involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Volkswagen Golf, happened on the A77 at its junction with the B7045.The medic chopper rushed a 62-year-old woman to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.Police closed down the road for almost nine hours with the section of the major route only reopening around 12.55am this morning.
