Apologise to win Umno, Malay support, Youth chief tells DAP FMTNews
Umno Youth chief Akmal Saleh said DAP must extend an apology to Umno for the accusations levelled at the party previously.
Umno Youth chief Akmal Saleh said the apology was necessary if DAP wanted to win the support of the Malays and Umno supporters in the upcoming state elections. Last year, DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook publicly apologised to GPS leaders during a meeting before the formation of the unity government.
Akmal, who is also the Merlimau assemblyman, said DAP must also prove that it was not anti-Malay or anti-Islam, a label which it had been branded with in the past.
