KIRA-KIRA 50 hektar dari Hutan Simpan Kuala Langat musnah dalam satu kebakaran, kata Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Selangor.Kebakaran hutan gambut itu berlaku sekurang-kurangya lima hari sebelum dilaporkan kepada Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Selangor pada 28 Februari.

Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Selangor menghantar 93 anggota dan 59 dari agensi lain bagi mengawal kebakaran yang mengambil masa 10 hari.Hutan Simpan Kuala Langat juga mempunyai ekosistem tanah lembab yang unik menyokong spesies flora dan fauna yang jarang berlaku secara biologi dan sumber air tawar. – 4 Mac, 2020.
