Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez handily won her Democratic primary over a conservative-backed challenger Tuesday.Marty Dolan, according to the Associated Press, which called the race less than 20 minutes after polls closed at 9 p.m.The primary contest spilled beyond the confines of the 14th Congress ional District’s Bronx and Queens boundaries, in large part because of Ocasio-Cortez’s national profile — and perhaps because of a conservative Texas group’s shaky grasp of New York City geography.
