Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed his government's commitment to maintaining its stance on issues involving Islam, the position of Malay kings, Malay and Bumiputera special rights, and the Malay language. Addressing concerns about tolerance towards other races potentially harming Malay interests, Anwar clarified that such fears are unfounded. He emphasized that the Madani government would not compromise on these issues as enshrined in the constitution.
Anwar made these statements in a Facebook post following the 2024 Malay College Old Boys Association dinner in Kuala Lumpur. He also called for unity among the people in implementing policies to boost the economy of Malays and Bumiputera
