Expert Will Farmer said the market was ever-growing and that was one of the reasons behind the mirror's value
An Antiques Roadshow guest said she "wouldn't have guessed" how much a mirror she brought to the show would be worth. There were gasps from the crowd when the woman was told its value.
But everyone was soon gasping when Will told them what it could fetch at auction, reports the Mirror. Will said the mirror was created at the Glasgow School of Art in about 1929. He said this was quite late for such a design. When her daughter went to hang it up in a hallway she noticed a note on the back of it which her mother had not seen before. Will read this notice out: "Designed and worked by Marion Wilson for Charlotte Stewart who gifted it to Margaret Lawson on her wedding day dated 1929."
