One protest, which took place outside of Philadelphia City Hall, featured several individuals burning American flags while proudly flying Palestinian flags. Philadelphia police were dispatched to respond to the roughly 400-person demonstration.an "act of vandalism" took place as protesters marched down a city street, forcing Philadelphia police to call in more resources. Multiple people were arrested during the protest, ABC6 reports.
The banners featured the shields of Hezbollah and Hamas, both of which are designated terrorist organizations by the federal government. It is unclear if the Rittenhouse Square demonstration was connected to the protest held at Philadelphia City Hall.advertising the "All Out for Gaza" rally included stark anti-American language, including references to the United States as "AmeriKKKa.
