Anthony Volpe made the great stop. The throw was less than ideal.
With the Yankees leading by one in the top of the sixth of ALDS Game 1 at the Stadium, Royals outfielder Tommy Pham hit a hot shot — at 102.5 mph — toward short, which Volpe flagged down adroitly with a beautiful diving stop on his backhand.
