Actor Anthony Mackie, who portrays the new Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expresses his desire for his character to battle the formidable X-Men villain, Juggernaut. Mackie believes the clash of powers would create exciting and unique combat scenes. Anthony Mackie , who portrays the new Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe , has expressed his desire to see his character face off against the formidable X-Men villain, the Juggernaut . Mackie, speaking to ComicBook, stated, 'I would really like to get some of those X-Men villains,' adding, 'I want the whole Juggernaut crew, some of those. I feel like those would be a lot of fun, simply because of the crazy nature of the combat scenes.
Not because they’re the best villains, but I feel like their powers — head-to-head with my power — that would be an interesting fight.' While Mackie acknowledges the appeal of a super soldier serum boost, he believes it would detract from Sam Wilson's everyman appeal. 'I don’t think he will,' Mackie says. 'I think if you look at Sam, Sam is everyman’s Captain America. So the idea of him just being a regular guy that’s been thrust into this position of leadership is something that we all can identify with, that we all can relate to. So I think it’s important for him not to get the serum, because that takes him out of the realm of any of us being Captain America.'The Juggernaut, most famously depicted as Cain Marko, Charles Xavier's stepbrother, possesses near-unstoppable strength and invulnerability granted by the ruby red Gem of Cyttorak. His powers have allowed him to clash with heavy hitters like the Hulk and make him a formidable foe for any hero. Over the years, Marko has been a member of various super-teams, showcasing his complex and multifaceted character. He's aligned with the X-Men, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Thunderbolts, Red Skull's New World Order, Unstoppables, and the Exemplars, highlighting his ability to shift allegiances and motivations. 'Captain America: Brave New World,' starring Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, with Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford, is scheduled for theatrical release on February 14th. Fans are eagerly anticipating the film and the exciting new challenges that await Captain America in this latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe
