The Nottingham Forest star attracted the attention of Newcastle United in the final few hours on transfer deadline day
Newcastle United’s transfer deadline day interest in Anthony Elanga was given short-shrift by Nottingham Forest.
However, that hasn’t stopped Elanga speaking about the situation whilst on international duty with Sweden. Quoted on Swedish website Fotboll Skanalen, the former Man United man admitted there had been interest and that he has spoken to compatriot Alexander Isak about the potential move. “I’m focusing on Nottingham and hope to have a good season, then we’ll see what happens. Isak talked to me about it. But I said the same to him as I say to you. We have a good relationship and good chemistry when we play together. But I have a contract with Nottingham.”
