An Ant-Man character was very different in concept.

Official concept art from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania reveals that one Phase 5 character was even more weird than the film portrayed him to be. Given that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania dealt primarily with the living organisms within the Quantum Realm, the film included several over-the-top, weird elements. From the creatures and inhabitants of the Quantum Realm to their customs and appearances, Ant-Man 3 opened up the MCU to a much more strange side than has been previously shown.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT This is exemplified by concept art for the film as shared on Jerad Marantz's Instagram account, a member of Marvel Studios' visual development team. Marantz shared some of the work he produced as a concept artist for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's cast of characters, including early designs for David Dastmalchian's Quantum Realm rebellion fighter Veb.

Veb was the slime-based creature from the Quantum Realm who initially had a weapon that utilized his own matter. The slime Veb consists of would shout out of the gun before crawling back to him, with the character shrinking and growing as he “reloaded." Will Any Quantum Realm Rebels Show Up Again In The MCU? With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ending with Scott, Hope, Cassie, Hank, and Janet escaping the Quantum Realm, the question is raised whether the film's Quantum Realm rebels will show up again in the MCU at some point. While it seems unlikely, the possibility can never be ruled out. After all, the Quantum Realm fighters have first-hand experience going up against Kang the Conqueror and his armies.

Given that Kang will be the primary villain of the MCU's Multiverse Saga, it could well be the case that Scott seeks out his former Quantum Realm allies as a means of combating Kang upon his return to the MCU. The Quantum Realm rebels already know how best to deal with Kang's minions, meaning Scott could enlist their help to fight Kang during Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
