Cape Town is in for another cold, wet and windy weekend. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a number of weather alerts as well as a very cold, wet and windy conditions advisory as another cold front is expected:
Cape Town is in for another cold, wet and windy weekend. The South African Weather Service issued a number of weather alerts for the Western Cape and other parts of the country as another cold front is expected to pass over South Africa in the next few days.
A Yellow level 2 warning for strong winds associated with the cold front is expected over the eastern Cape Winelands, Central Karoo and the southern interior of Namakwa. The warning is valid from 10am on Friday until 12pm on Saturday.Picture: South African Weather Service / Facebook The weather service added that there is a possibility of snowfall in high-lying areas in the interior of the Western Cape on Friday.
The snowy conditions are expected to reach the southern Drakensberg and Eastern Cape by Monday. Get itAdditionally, an advisory of very cold, wet and windy conditions has been issued as the cold front is expected to sweep across the Western Cape, northern parts of Northern Cape and Eastern Cape from Friday into Saturday and Sunday.
