Another Chinese brand has decided to compete in the highly contested bakkie market in South Africa.
Chinese automaker Foton announced that it will launch the new Tunland G7 in South Africa’s double-cab segment on June 25, 2024.
“Expanding into the South African market is a significant milestone for Foton, and we are excited to bring our innovative, reliable, and eco-friendly transportation solutions to customers throughout the region,” said Marius Smal, CEO of Foton South Africa. You can choose from a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Depending on the variant, the power is transmitted to the rear or all four wheels using a time-sharing 4×4 system.
