Annuar Musa: Umno says a prayer for Dr M after his barb
He said that as much as Umno members were hurt by the references to Umno in the special address of interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir on Wednesday , the leadership of Umno understood what the 94-year- old was going through."We take the attitude of moderation on the speech by Dr Mahathir. Umno understands the situation Dr Mahathir is in."Even though what you said hurt us, we hope our Umno members will be patient and open-minded.
"We in Umno pray for Dr Mahathir to be given good health and calmness, while we in Umno continue our struggle with a strong heart to continue our struggle to uphold truth and the good of the nation and country.He said this at a press conference after the Umno supreme council met with 180 of 191 division leaders from nationwide except for the state of Sabah.
"The opportunity to change leadership is always there. Only that, I am of the opinion that since I was supported by both sides, the time has not come for me to step down.
