Dozens of balloons taking flight into the sky at OWA Parks and Resort.
It was the first night of the 20th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival.Most of the rides were tethered Wednesday night due to the wind, but there was still a chance to hop on and go for a quick ride.“This is my first time ever seeing something like this. I think it’s very exciting just to watch it being filled up all big and full I’m waiting for it,” one woman said.It was a full day of preparation to get them up in the air for everyone to enjoy.
A family-friendly event at OWA with some saying they’ll take the risk, while others said they’ll keep their feet on the ground.“These strong guys they had it out and got air into it and we wanted to be the first. This is our 20th year at the Gulf Coast Balloon Festival for Baldwin EMC,” one attendee said.The festival wraps up on Saturday.
