Glasgow is my home city, and this paper is the publication that knows the issues that matter to Glaswegians and continues to produce top-quality stories day after day.
We are facing very challenging times right now with rising bills, and our public services are still struggling to bounce back from the effects of the Covid pandemic. We’ve seen truly tragic deaths occurring at so-called ‘homeless hotels’ and this simply cannot continue. This bill will guarantee access to treatment for all those who are struggling with addiction and ensure they know they have somewhere to turn to for support.
We are seeing illogical plans taking place. More flats being demolished than good quality houses being built to replace them. That should not be happening in 21st century Glasgow yet we see painfully little in the way of action.budgets by the SNP-Green government which has a knock-on effect in terms of the projects our council can back.I know I will be preaching to every reader who drives around the city when I say that our roads are nothing short of a disgrace.
