NEW: A committee of MSPs has refused to support the general principles of Pam Duncan-Glancy's Bill
Plans by a Labour MSP to improve the lives of disabled children have been rejected by a Holyrood committee.
Duncan-Glancy said: “Our bill aims to give young people a fighting chance - but this government is giving young people no chance at all." Central to the proposals is ensuring every disabled child or young person has a “transitions” plan as part of a national strategy. A number of concerns were flagged up, such as the committee being “concerned” about young people needing a diagnosis to access transition support.
