NEW YORK — The Angels’ eighth consecutive loss was all about their struggling offense until it became about their struggling bullpen.
“We’re staying positive,” Trout said. “We’re just going through a rough stretch. I told you guys that a couple days ago. The guys are coming in and working. Just things aren’t going our way.” Ortega, though, got one out on a fly ball to the warning track, and then he gave up a double and two walks, loading the bases.
“I’m upset,” Bradley said. “I wanted to be the guy to get it done, kind of put the stop to it. Didn’t happen. And that’s kind of what we’re looking for: someone to step up and really just get us over the hump of this losing streak.”
