Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter’s new legal name is Shiloh Jolie, according to a source familiar with the matter. The change comes after the teen filed a legal petition to drop her father’s surname in May on her 18th birthday. A source close to the matter previously told NBC News that the teen hired and paid for her own lawyer. Representatives for Pitt and Jolie did not immediately respond to requests for comment Monday. One of Shiloh’s siblings has also dropped the Pitt name.
They remain in a heated legal battle, mainly over their winery, Château Miraval, in the south of France. The actors, who met on the set of the 2005’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” were married at the French vineyard in 2014. Together, they have six children. Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 after accusing Pitt of choking one of their children during a private flight that year.
