MANILA — Actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin has teamed up with the Tropical Disease Foundation and the Ayala group in her mission to make coronavirus testing available to vulnerable sectors.

On Wednesday, Locsin shared photos of her visit to the TDF headquarters in Makati along with officials from Ayala Healthcare Holdings and Solaire Resort & Casino.

The groups came together for the inauguration of TDF's COVID-19 testing laboratory, which was funded by the Ayala group, according to Locsin. "We are fortunate that private companies are working closely with the government to boost the daily testing capacity to 50,000 from the initial target of 30,000. This is crucial to flatten the curve and ease us in to the new normal as some of us go back to work," she wrote.

Locsin's Instagram post showed what appeared to be a test kit sample, frontline workers at TDF, as well as meetings among the participating groups.
