The water level in Angat Dam dipped below its minimum operating level on Thursday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA .In its latest Dam Water Level Update, PAGASA said the water level in Angat Dam dropped to 179.68 meters from 180.07 on Wednesday.The minimum operating level of Angat Dam is 180 meters. Angat Dam in Bulacan supplies around 90% of the water needs of Metro Manila, Rizal, and portions of Cavite and Bulacan.

The allocation for the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System was reduced from 50 to 49 cubic meters per second until the end of May.According to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources , the move does not mean water supply will be interrupted.However, all concerned areas are already experiencing a slight reduction in pressure during off-peak hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
