The Scotland skipper is relishing the feelgood factor around the national team right now but he's keeping a lid on the squad
The Tartan Army might be looking out the lederhosen for next summer already but Andy Robertson has banned any talk about Germany in the Scotland camp.
Germany might be a word on the banned list but there is one that’s getting plenty of air time – complacency. Or, more importantly, trying to avoid it. Robertson said: “Of course. That is what all good teams do. Robertson is keeping a lid on things but that doesn’t mean the rest of us have to. Scotland have one foot in the Euros – and there’s even now some giddy talk of winning the group.
That means taking care of business in scorching Cyprus. Robertson said: “It’s massive for us. It’s probably our biggest game since the disappointment of the Ukraine game. “We’re close to another major tournament – but we are not there yet. And any slip ups now could be costly. It’s important we go against that and put ourselves in the perfect position with five out of five. We know it won’t be easy.”
