Rep. Andy Biggs shared a number of positive takeaways after Republicans in the House of Representatives took several days and 15 ballots to elect House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
New House Speaker Kevin McCarthy thanked former President Donald Trump early Saturday for his role in the 15 rounds of voting.culminating with Republicans electing Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., to serve as Speaker of the House, those who once opposed him are looking to move forward as allies.
In his statement, Biggs admitted to leading an effort to back a candidate for speaker other than McCarthy but said he ultimately came around to understanding that his opposition would not hold.that would change the status quo and advance America First principles.
