Andrew Thomas’ Monday night status in question after sitting out practice

Andrew Thomas missed the Giants’ previous two games with a hamstring injury he suffered in the season opener against the Cowboys.

The early-week optimism surrounding the availability of Giants offensive lineman Andrew Thomas has taken a discouraging downturn.

“We’re just going to let him rehab with the trainers,” Giants coach Brian Daboll said before practice. “I think it’s the right thing to do. Let’s give it a couple days here and we’ll see where we’re at.” Daboll had said last week that he considers the versatile Ezeudu as a capable fill-in at four spots on the line, excluding center.

The Giants are 28th in the NFL in yardage allowed at 253.3 per game and passing yardage , while tying for the fourth-most sacks allowed with 12. Mark Glowinski, John Michael Schmitz Jr., and offensive tackle Andrew Thomas block for quarterback Daniel Jones.Former starter Mark Glowinski, in the second season of a three-year deal worth $20 million, essentially is out of the rotation, especially with Bredeson slated to return.
