Andor star Diego Luna teases that Alan Tudyk’s droid K-2SO will appear in season 2 since the series is approaching the start of RogueOneAStarWarsStory.
Diego Luna has teased the return of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's K-2SO in Andor season 2. The Star Wars series, which kicks off with a 3-episode premiere on September 21, is set to follow Cassian through the early days of the Rebellion. The show is described as a "spy-thriller" and will include Luna returning as Cassian, as well as Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, and more.

The reprogrammed Imperial droid brought not only a strong comedic presence, but also a sentimental and compassionate one, especially when he gave his life so that Cassian and Jyn could get the Death Star plans safely.
Seeing as Andor will detail Cassian's full backstory, it makes sense that K-2SO would join the story for season 2. The first meeting between Cassian and K-2SO is still unknown, which gives this series the opportunity to explore the blossoming of their friendship.
With just over a month to go until Andor premieres, anticipation is rising for the series that'll explore the early Rebellion. Cast and crew alike have described how this series will show the everyday lives of people in the galaxy, dealing with the grittier parts of the ragtag effort that grew into a full movement of resistance against the Empire.
