Harris was also in talks for a Rogan interview but that did not happen.
Cooper explained that despite her show not usually venturing into politics, she chose to have Harris on because it was a chance to have 'a larger conversation,' particularly on the topic of abortion. After the interview, which aired in October, some people asked why Cooper didn't address other hot-button issues like the border. Cooper responded that she wanted to discuss topics important to her audience
